FAQ
What is the TSA 3-1-1 liquids rule?
Liquids, aerosols, gels, creams and pastes in carry-on must be in containers of 3.4 oz / 100 ml per container or less, all fitting in one quart-sized bag per passenger.
What counts as a quart-sized bag?
TSA doesn't publish exact bag dimensions — any resealable bag of about one quart (0.95 L) capacity works; the common freezer-bag size sold as 'quart' is what officers expect to see.
What liquids are exempt from 3-1-1?
medications; breast milk, formula and juice for infants (declare at checkpoint).
