Can you bring chocolate on a plane?

Carry-on bag yes
Solid chocolate — bars, truffles, a boxed assortment — is a plain Yes in carry-on. Liquid or gel chocolate (syrup, sauce, fondue) is capped at 3.4 oz (100 ml) through the checkpoint; anything larger should go in your checked bag.
Checked bag yes
Allowed in checked bags in either form — solid or liquid.
Officers may ask you to take a large box of chocolates out of your bag so it does not obstruct the X-ray image.
Liquids, gels and aerosols in carry-on follow the TSA 3-1-1 rule. The final decision always rests with the TSA officer at the checkpoint.
