Pepper spray, mace and other self-defense sprays are prohibited in carry-on bags.
Checked bag limits apply
One container up to 4 fl oz (118 ml) with a safety mechanism against accidental discharge. Sprays with more than 2% tear gas (CS/CN) are prohibited entirely.
Some airlines refuse pepper spray even in checked bags — confirm with your airline first.
Liquids, gels and aerosols in carry-on follow the TSA 3-1-1 rule. The final decision always rests with the TSA officer at the checkpoint.
