Can you bring strollers on a plane?

TSA has no stroller-specific ruling, but strollers go through the checkpoint routinely — the stroller must be screened by X-ray, and one too large for the machine gets a visual and physical inspection instead. Take your child out and carry them through the metal detector.

TSA publishes no restriction on strollers in checked baggage — there is no "What Can I Bring?" page for them at all. Most travellers gate-check theirs at the jet bridge rather than checking it at the counter, but that is an airline arrangement, not a TSA rule.
Empty the pockets and basket before screening: TSA asks you to put those items in a carry-on bag or straight on the X-ray belt. Whether the stroller rides to the gate and how it is tagged is your airline's call — TSA only screens it.
