Can you bring vitamins, protein powder & supplements on a plane?

TSA's official answer, checked against tsa.gov on 2026-07-02.

Carry-on bag limits apply

Pills and capsules — no limit. Powders over 12 oz (350 ml) go in a separate bin for X-ray, and if screening can't resolve them they won't fly — TSA itself suggests putting big tubs in checked bags.

Checked bag yes

The easy answer for full-size protein tubs.

Liquids, gels and aerosols in carry-on follow the TSA 3-1-1 rule. The final decision always rests with the TSA officer at the checkpoint.
